Hannah V. Miller, FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

Hannah Veruschka Miller has played flute since childhood and piano since college. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and possesses over 20 year’s teaching experience. Trained in the technique and performance of jazz and classical music, Hannah is a proficient flautist and competent pianist. Commanding well-developed musicianship skills, she is erudite in music theory and adept at the art of listening. 

In college, while studying flute privately under the tutelage of Linda Lucas of the San Francisco Symphony, Hannah performed in chamber music ensembles coached by the Alexander String Quartet and with the San Francisco State Wind Ensemble. She also played flute and piano in jazz combos directed by Ray Brown and Dee Spencer at Cabrillo College and San Francisco State University, respectively.  

Post-graduation, Hannah taught flute at Musikschule Multrus and English at Inlingua Sprachshule, both in Koblenz, Germany. She then established HVMusic in Southern California at Meher Montessori School in 2001, offering group music and private instrumental lessons to children of all ages. In 2006, Hannah relocated to Northern California, where today she plays flute in the Alameda Community Band and HVMusic continues to thrive.
